Accreditation & Recognition

CARF Accreditation

Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard, a local non-profit dedicated to combating veteran homelessness, has been awarded their first Three-Year Term of Accreditation by CARF. Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, or CARF, is an independent accrediting body of health and human services. The accreditation, awarded on April 12, 2021, is for Community Employment Services: Employment Supports, Community Employment Services: Job Development, Community Housing, and Services Coordination.

Receiving a Three-Year CARF Accreditation highlights the quality of services and standards that we provide and uphold at Veterans Place. Our veteran’s satisfaction is our top priority, and we are proud to provide the best possible care to our nation’s heroes.

– Rob Hamilton, MPPM, Executive Director.

CARF recognizes Veterans Place’s concern for the health, wellbeing, and safety of our veterans, reflected through our facilities and quality of programs offered. CARF also recognized the staff and organization for “always putting veterans first in all of its decision making.” Veterans Place earned three-year accreditation, CARF’s highest level accreditation, demonstrating substantial conformance to CARF standards. The CARF standards have been developed for over 50 years by international teams comprised of policymakers, payers, family members, service providers, and consumers.
