The Veterans Place Doors Remain Open.
The risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic have created an emergency situation facing homeless veterans in Pittsburgh. The Veterans Place, devoted to the health and well being of one of our city’s most vulnerable populations, has KEPT ITS DOORS OPEN. At a time when many other homeless veterans’ support services have closed the Veterans Place, founded in Pittsburgh, is a shelter from the COVID-19 storm.
Our van continues to pick up homeless veterans from shelters and the streets every day to bring them to our campus on Washington Blvd. for a hot meal. Veterans should be safe.
Staff continues to provide for basic human needs – food, shelter, and clothing – with open arms and hearts.
