Give Back to Those Who Have Given So Much

There is more than one way to support Veterans Place. Whether you make a direct donation, honor someone important to you, organize a fundraiser, or give through your workplace, your support helps Veterans Place continue serving veterans across the region.

One-Time or Monthly Giving

Make a gift to the Veterans Place Independence Fund as a one-time donation, or choose ongoing monthly support. Either option helps fund day-to-day services and long-term support for veterans working toward stable housing and self-sufficiency.

DIY Fundraising

Organize a fundraiser that makes sense for your circle. That could be a birthday campaign, a community event, an online fundraiser, or a small-group effort built around a clear goal.

Workplace Fundraising

Invite your coworkers to support Veterans Place through a team fundraiser or department-led drive. Many companies also give through workplace platforms like United Way and Benevity, which make it easy to donate through payroll deductions, matching gifts, and employee giving programs.

Community Partnerships

Businesses, civic groups, and community organizations can support Veterans Place through sponsorships, drives, volunteer efforts, and other partnership opportunities. Community partners already play an important role in the organization’s work.

In-Kind Giving

Veterans Place also accepts certain in-kind donations that help meet everyday needs. Current examples listed on the site include hygiene items, towels, laundry supplies, shelf-stable food, clothing, backpacks, pillows, blankets, twin sheets, and other new, unused essentials.

Estate Planning

Create a lasting impact for veterans in need by including Veterans Place in your estate plans. A planned gift through your will, trust, or other estate planning options can help ensure that veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability continue to receive access to vital resources, supportive services, and compassionate care for years to come.

Honor & Assist

Honor a loved one or someone close to you while helping a veteran in need at the same time. This is a meaningful option for birthdays, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and other moments when you want your gift to recognize someone while supporting Veterans Place.

5-Star General Society

In August 2020, Veterans Place leadership created the 5-STAR General Society, named for one of the highest ranks attainable in the military between 1944 and 1981. Officers hold this rank for life and typically serve as the highest authority in military matters, subordinate only to the President of the United States. The 5-Star General Society recognizes donors who contribute $500 or more to the Veterans Place Independence Fund each year.
