We’re Thankful for Our Veterans
Thanksgiving is known as a time to get together with family and friends to enjoy turkey with all the delicious side dishes like mashed potatoes and stuffing, watch football, and enjoy each other’s company.
In addition to enjoying a delicious meal and an exciting football game, Thanksgiving is, at its core, about reflecting on what we are most thankful for.
At Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard, we are thankful for our veterans and the freedoms we have because of their strength and sacrifices.
Giving Thanks to our Veterans
At Veterans Place, our mission is to end veteran homelessness and help veterans lead self-sustaining lives by providing them with the tools they need to succeed. We are forever grateful for the sacrifices made by our veterans, and we work to thank them each day by giving back to the veteran community in Pittsburgh in any way we can.
From transitional housing to the Veterans Resource Center, we work to provide our veterans with the housing, food, clothing, education, and employment assistance, and more that they need to thrive.
We are also grateful for our community of supporters. With your generous donations, we are able to provide these life-sustaining programs and events for veterans to help them transition out of homelessness and lead self-sufficient lives.
Thank a Veteran Today by Donating Today
As you sit down with your family and friends this holiday season, take the time to show your appreciation for the freedoms you enjoy each day. Veterans have made the sacrifice necessary to preserve our freedoms, and now they need your help. Thanksgiving is a great time to say thank you to a veteran by donating to end veteran hunger.
Your donation will go directly to help a veteran in need and provide them with the food they need to survive. Please visit our Donate page to make your donation to end veteran hunger.
Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard wishes you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!
