Thanksgiving with Parkwood United Presbyterian Church
Volunteers from Parkwood Church returned to Veterans Place to provide a Thanksgiving feast for veterans and staff.

Celebrating with Inspired Hearts and Hands
Our friends at Inspired Hearts and Hands donated meal boxes and presents for our veterans to enjoy this holiday season.

Christmas Eve Meal Kits from Giant Eagle
Giant Eagle provided meal kits for each of our 13 townhouses which included a turkey and a variety of fresh produce and dairy items.

Christmas Day with our Friends from Aspinwall
Our friends from Aspinwall provided Christmas Day lunch and brought Santa to distribute presents to each of our veterans!

Shannon Hagy

Executive Director at Veterans Place

Shannon has been integral to the Veterans Place team since September 2019, when she became the Veterans Resource Center Coordinator. In 2020 Shannon was promoted to the Director of Client Services, and most recently, in 2022, she earned the title of Clinical Director. A first-generation college graduate, Shannon received her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Southern California while also obtaining a Military Social Work Certification and a bachelor’s degree from La Roche College. She is currently completing a certificate in Financial Success for Nonprofits from Cornell University.
