As Memorial Day approaches, Veterans Place is preparing to honor the men and women who have died serving our country in the U.S. military. Memorial Day, formerly known as Decoration Day, was first meant to honor the Confederate and Union soldiers who died during the American Civil War.
On May 15th, Allegheny County, where Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard is located, along with 12 other counties, will move into the yellow phase.
